this is the print out im going to take with to get a price qoute im thinking navy blue since they match preety much everything and i know getting all one color will cut down on the price. i will probly change it up some but this is just what i will take for the quote untill i get the file with the font and clean it up some.

Okay guys here is the deal going with signlogic out of elizabethtown nc.
for the giddeon sweatshirts style hoodie they are around 18 each, 20 each for plus sizes. up to 5X


they better quality hoodies like the ones from american eagal and places like that are going to be around 35 each but only go up to 2X he did say colors can be diffrent such as some blue and some black. I know this is slightly expensive but guys these are more comfortable shirts that are built better and well worth the extra money. these are the style that have the wide waist band and is a lil longer.
I know they have blue and black, he is ordering a sample shirt for me to go check out on friday. onto the logo i told him we want a 2 color logo he is good with that. he said if some want a red and white and then others want a blue and white it will be an extra $15 on the order for the color change. What i will do with this is start a poll for the desired color combos and the majority vote will be the one we go with if some abosolutly want a diffrent color from the majority the price will be added to thier shirts. IE 10 people want red white 5 people want blue white. then if the 5 refuse to get the red white it will be $3 extra to cover the 15.

he also said if we can get an order of around 36 shirts the price will go down a few dollers per shirt i got the qoute for 14 shirts.

so i need some input from what you guys want to do. i told him im looking to order within 2-3 weeks so we really need to get this up and moving.

the 18-20 is the generic athletic style hoodie. not the causuel style like you get at say American Eagle the only kind i will wear i have had others made that just hang in the closest cause they dont feel good wearing therm

just picked up a two tone starter hoodie at walmart...it was 17 bucks for the 2X, i saw they had 3X, didn't really look...the body of the hoodie is charcoal gray, and around the armpits, and up towards the shoulder, it splits, and the sleeves are black..it really caught my eye.

i'm probably gonna try to get it embroidered locally...wonder how much the cost would change, if we provided our own hoodies, i think i saw a solid black, and they had a burgundy/charcoal split, looked pretty good. i'll get a pic posted up soon, luis...that maybe an alternative for you.

I'm game for either style, and the price isn't bad on the nicer one. Look for a good style hoodie your gonna pay 45-75 bucks depending brand and where you shop.

got an email back from the local embroiderer i mentioned earlier in the thread today..he told me that for a 13" X 1.5" logo, embroidery would run about $25, not including the cost of the hoodie itself, stan, you got a quote on a 12" wide logo, right? they said the price would fluctuate, on the dimensions, obviously...so i may ask for a price each, for 12" X ??" just to see how much different it is, need to measure on the hoodie i have itself, and see what width looks good for the logo. and of course he also said doing multiple pieces would lower the price also, so i'm sure since you got quoted for numerous ones at that price, my embroiderers prices would be comparable. :dunno:

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. I've been short-handed for 2 weeks. We presume that the black background is the shirt color. Is this correct? If so, the cost for embroidering the logo 13" wide & about 1.5" high across the front would be about $25.00 per shirt. We can change the dimensions if you prefer. That would affect the cost. what i will do is tomm. or firday im going to check the material of the shirt he ordered a sample shirt to keep in store. i will get a color list i will also post a poll on the logo colors. will do this friday befor i go to work that night im looking for a disscusion on it over the weekend. then on monday hopefully start an order thread and post payment options. then the following monday(nov 9th) i can go in and place the order. does this sound good to everyone.

well we were slow at work last night so i sent brandt from graphic disorder telling him what we were wanting and told him the size ranges. the pic i sent was carolinatruckscene.com

IMO that would go better with most of the shirts as most people typically want a darker colored hoodie this will show up alot better than say if we go with dark blue writing and someone wants a navy shirt.

I told him the QTY would be around 10 im hoping for more of course the more we order the cheaper the price goes. I also know times are hard right now for alot of people so thats why i went with a low number.

ok guys this is the email i just recieved from brandt. basically we would need 24 hoodies to make an order or we can do some combinations.
"Hey Stanley,

We use Hanes hoodies, and they are not tight or anything like that around the waist. They have a band like any other hoodie ive seen but they are nowhere near what I would call tight, I have one on right now in fact and its very loose. Only 10 hoodies would be to small of a order to do really. If you could get up to 24 I could do the order. 10 pieces would not be worth the time to set up the press for, id be paying you to take them by the time I pay for the time to set up the press.



3xl is the largest hoodie I can get with my suppliers, anything bigger than that in a hoodie would be more like a big and tall type of offering.



If you want to do some kind of a combo of shirt/hoodies to get up over 36 pieces we could probably help you out! What a lot of people do is order say our 36 shirt sale and then add in a few hoodies to that order, which then qualifies the shirts for our sale and promo and the hoodies would just be printed along with that.

Yes you could get say 10 hoodies and 26 shirts, and qualify for our 36 piece sale which is 1 color each side or 2 color 1 side. If you get to 48 pieces you can get 1 color one side, 2 color the other or 3 color 1 side. Of course the hoodies will cost more than a shirt, but it will still be a better price than just buying 24 hoodies only.

well i think single side, 2 color would probably work the best, or at least 2 sided shirts, say black, with all white writing, like is in the header, at the moment, just having the front centered, and kinda small, and have it be larger across the back.

although i still think just 2 color across the front would look best.

no for the tee shirts if we only get 36pcs which is what we need to order to be able to make this happen. we are going to do the same logo that the hooides have except have the logo across the shoulders on the back. now if we get 48pcs we will keep the large logo on the back but on the front leftside of the chest i want to put something like:

I say use this ^ for the hoodies and the same thing for t-shirts, but on the back of the shirt. and blank front. Unless we have some kind of site logo for the front left breast area.

just sent an email to Brandt to make sure that we can use difrent color shirts. example: 4 black 3 gray 10672 blue. I just know for a fact the logo has to stay the same color or the price goes up. if half want one color and half want another color.

Soon as he gives me an answer ill start the pre-order thread. I will get everyones info and then after getting an exact number to Brandt for a price I will then sendout PM's with the totals to get a confirmation as soon as everyone confirms or declines I will tell Brandt to start on the shirts.

to be able to get that we have to have 48 items ordered combination of shirts and hoodiesso say we get 36 shirts and 12 hoodies ordered the hoodies will keep the logo on the front and the shirts will get the big logo on the back and the CTS on the front.
now if we get say 36 shirts and only 10 hoodies then we will get teh hoodies with the logo on the back and the tee shirts with just the logo on the back across the shoulders. no CTS on the front.

Also is there a way that i can send a mass PM or will I just have to copy and paste everyones name fromt he members list? I want to make sure everyone knows we are ordering cause there probly will not be enough people to make another order for at least another year. And i may order a couple extras of the most common sizes/colors to keep on hand incase some people come up requesting at a later date.

ok guys im gonna start an ordering thread later tonight I have to hurry up and get packed up for my trip to WV this weekend. I dont know if i will have access to the net or not after mid day friday but will try to answer all guestions the order thread will be strickly for saying the size and qty of shirts wanted all ?'s or disscussions will need to be forwarded to this thread or sent in a pm. I was considering this but want to get the shirts made ASAP and I know there are gonna be 4-5 people that will drag tail getting the money in and make everyone else have to wait for there slow ass's.

probly what i will do is just pay it and If they cant get the money to me in a timly fashion then start charging intrest and after a certan period put them in the flea market for others to have a chance to purchase (like if we get some new members that may want a shirt and missed out on the order just hope it anit a crazy size like a small or medium

yea as most know i went snowboarding this weekend therefore the only internet was on my g/fs phone which had minimal signal i the wonderful mountains of west virginia. Should be able to get one started tonight or in the morning some time the internet at my g/f's apartment is hit or miss.

Can some one tell me the best way to send out a mass pm to all users to let all members know of the order thread.

Also i am thinking of getting up with red from redspowerjams and offering a free shirt to him to give away on his show. ( i have recieved a free shirt from him befor) on the stipulations they will have to be a member on carolinatruckscene.com it will hopefully get us some more members and get out name out some. is this cool with you guys? I will discuss it with red and make sure it is ok with him. I will probly order it in a XL jsut a size alot of guys wear. also he may want a sticker to put on his wall where he does his show. I havnt talked to him in a while but he is a stright up guy that does everything he can to help the show scene.

shoot danny a pm about the mass email. would probably be a little more efficient to actually send out mass email, as opposed to a pm, since some people don't regularly get on, and may not be set up to receive email notification, so that'd be a surefire way that they'd get word of things.

the only thing holding me back right now, is i'm unsure of the shirt situation, i wouldn't want a shirt that has nothing across the front, with a logo on the back, i think it'd be cool to have the logo across the front pretty big, for sure, and if we get enough to where we can do both sides, then set it up where the site tagline is across the back "best spot on the web....blah blah" maybe take up 2 lines on the back.

just my .02. if you'd like i can take a few minutes and design one up in ms paint. if it'd help to see it. i just don't like small off centered chest logos, like if you're wearing a jacket over it, you'd never see it.

yea if you want to draw one up real quick that is cool we should be able to get the 2 sided shirt its only the 2nd day and we got 23 requested so far. just remember the tees will have to be 2 color on one side and 1 color on the other side

i do like that, I like it alot hopefully more people will like it Also i dont think it will cost anymore to have that put on the back of the hoodies . (even though the hood will cover it up) hey its free though.

the other alternative i was thinking, would be to have the font smaller on the back, and do it in 2 lines, i just did it that big, cause damned ms paint drops the quality of everything so bad, once the font size decreases.

Now Stan, in the order thread I chose 2 white tees, and never really thought the lettering will also be white on the logo and now seeing this thread possibly the back as well.. Correct me if I'm missin somethin, or should I change the white tees to another color choice??

i'm pretty sure they will allow you to have 2 different colors, per shirt, obviously you couldn't put white on white..i'm sure for white, they'd do black and red, and for red shirts, maybe white and black, and for gray, (i think i remember seeing gray shirts listed on the signup thread) you could pretty much use any colors on those, and they'd show up fine.

ill have to talk to brandt i know that the local place i talked it was an aditional 15$ for each color change on the lettering I dont know what brandt will charge for this I did this cause i didnt remember many people saying anything about wanting white and red shirts.

once i get a close number of shirts i will give brandt a call and see what he can do with us on this I know it adds time and mataerial cost to change the press and all.

i know several people were wanting to see what the one i was having done looked like, although i don't know if i'd recommend going back to this place..for the money, i'm not complaining, but i am a little bit dissapointed, the logo is only about 12" x 1"...i was only charged 15 bucks for it, so i'm not complaining....but i'd have gladly paid 5-10 more, for a logo with bigger letters...with the hoodie being a 2X, the letters are kinda shrimpy on it...but i'm satisfied all in all.

ok guys do to lack of enough interest/orders to get a good price from the people I have talked to I am going to shit can this idea until the fall next year as by the time we get an order in and they get made/shipped out there wont be much time left for hoodies. hopefully by the time we bring it back up for discussion there will be more members interested in ordering some or someone else has found places that can do small QTYs for cheap. I am not trying to back out of doing what I said I would do I just want to be able to get these at reasonable prices and most places don’t like small QTY orders. They want usually over 36 pcs.
