Roof question.

Anybody ever cut into the roof of an s10? I need to know how much distance there is between the 2 layers of metal, or if there even are 2 layers. The overhead console I just bought didn't come with any screws and so I need to figure out how long the screws i use need to be. I'm sure some of yo have dona a ragtop or a sunroof. Just figured I'd ask here before I go investigating further, lol.

not alot of room. ill take some pics tonight its only layered around the edges and if its ext then it will have a bar in the middle but only 1/2 inch at the most
