I am pondering the idea of putting some Tweed on the headliner/visors first due to some nastiness when I purchased it, then moving on to the rest of the interior..
Anyone know of a good site to purchase some Tweed Fabric from? And also, how much would I need to tackle a job of this sort? I don't have the first clue of how much would be needed, so any info/advice is much appreciated.
Any info is much appreciated..

as for how much, i never was really good for estimates, for a headliner, and visors, i'd think 3 yards would get you by. maybe 4?
s10forum as a coupon code on that site saves you 10%, i think?

 Thanks J!
Now its just on to deciding what color scheme to go with, etc...
Got another (?) for ya. The Dash Bezel, i took mine out and took out the vents how do you personally reinstall em after you do your fiberglass work to your bezels? I had to break off the plastic welds that were holding mine in to get em out, now I have to figure out how to reinstall em. Any tips??

good luck w/ the tweed man, i love wrappin pieces in tweed. its a hell of alot easier than any other material ive wrapped(i.e. suede). keep us posted on the outcome.l

i've always used hot glue, or epoxy, to hold the vents in place, once i've taken them out.

i used to have tweed on my interior and loved it. then i decided to "update" it and put suede in. That shits gets dirty too fast, and its hard as hell to wrap. Honestly thinkin about going back to tweed if it turns back into my daily aka static.

what im wanting is vinal on the dash with a real thin foam layer under it so it apears soft then the door panals wraped in the same with suade inserts in spots then the seats in suade and leather. then do some fiberglass work in places dont want to over do it just want some of the exterior color to be on the inside maybe the overhead console and the center consol the dash bezel door handle pockets typical stuff. then make some some seat track covers out of fiberglass. i need a garage so i can actually do some of this stuff

werd, i'm getting out of the whole all painted interior thing myself, as well, i wish i could trade the spare dash i have, for a charcoal one, in great shape, to someone wanting to heavily modify one and just go with it...with minimal color matched pieces...the spare dash i have, has already had the glovebox molded shut, and the oh shit handle area cut up, i was going to smooth all that on the passenger side.

Do you have a picture of that dash?

i can get some, it's in ugly shape...the surface has been all scuffed up, and like i said, i cut out the raised areas above the passenger side airbag, where the base of the dash grab handle was. will go out and snap one for the hell of it now, but unless someone really wanted to dig in on a full-on dash project, i'm sure nobody would be interested, once they see it..haha.

if ur wanting some tweed man i would encourage you to try it urself. Just get a few small pieces that are fairly strait and order a few yards of tweed. if you feel comfortable doing it, then proceed to the bigger pieces, if not then pay someone. You will just be out a little time and effort cuz you can give them the extra tweed to work with. Always makes you feel better when you know you did something that turned out to look good, Just my two cents

Smaller pieces are definately doable, I learned on my upper door panel, and seat track covers..simple, relatively flat things, also the back cab panel, that runs under the back glass..very easy to recover.

i got some cardinal red tweed from when my truck was red and i covered some of my truck with. its like a woven cloth fairly easy to manipulate around curves. it looks nice when done right.
